This might be my favorite strap to pair with the Panerai 243 submersible. Something about the stitchless strap, with the oversized buckle just seems to compliment the submersible.

I’m a huge fan of the large buckle.

A couple more shots!

The Ted Su French Ammo Strap

I’ve wanted one of these for quite some time but it took me awhile to actually snag one since I really wanted the vintage finish buckle, and also wanted one in the shorter length since my 6.8″ wrists don’t need a super long strap.  Anyhow, Ted finally listed one of these for sale, and I jumped on it! The leather doesn’t have a ton of variation in color, but has an awesome vintage, aged look to it. The vintage leather is a natural compliment to the Panerai 233 8 day 1950 GMT. In spite of the fact that this is vintage leather and a little on the stiff side, the strap wears very comfortably. It is wearing in very nicely and softening up with each wear. Here’s the main reason that I love this strap…the buckle! The vintage finish looks awesome in person, and in my opinion, is necessary on a larger buckle like this since it tones down the hugeness of the buckle. Here’s one last shot of it on my 233. I never get tired of this angle with the sandwich dial. This strap and the 233 makes for a winning combo!
