This strap is a bit of a departure from the sort of straps that I usually wear, but Jonathan recommended that I give it a try and he has yet to steer me wrong, so I though, “what the hell.”  Make no mistake…this is a unique strap with a crackled vintage look to it.  It feels a bit rough at first, but that’s really just the outside of the strap, not the bit that is against the wrist.

Just like the rest of the Decima series straps, this one comes with the oversized Decima buckle. It’s a great match for this thick and meaty strap.

Here it is mounted on my PAM 243 submersible. I think this strap is most at home on the larger chunkier PAM’s.

This strap is not for everyone, but if you are looking for a unique, very weathered strap, this is the one for you.

After being pleasantly surprised with the quality of the last couple straps that I picked up from Strapworks, I couldn’t help but check out a couple of the new 1860 Decima calf straps. I picked up a couple of the Decima straps, and this one was my first choice.

The color is a dark, rich brown color, with just a hint of maroon in there. The gold stitching makes for a nice contrast with the dark brown hide.

Included with the strap is the new Strapworks Decima buckle. Make no mistakes, this is a big honkin buckle! However, because of the extreme curvature of the buckle, it still wears comfortably, and doesn’t stick out as much as you think it might.

The inside of the strap is lined, and then stamped with the Strapworks logo, which I think is a nice touch.

Here’s the Decima mounted on my Panerai 243 1000m 1950 submersible. I really like this combo with the sub.

Getting back to the Decima buckle…which is pretty large. I think it looks right at home paired up with my PAM 243 submersible because of the tall meaty case. However, the super thick buckle might look a bit odd on some of the thinner cased models like the 233.

Here’s another shot of the Strapworks logo inside the strap. The overall quality of the Decima straps is very nice.

Check out the details on the underside of the keepers and the strap. Look how cleanly the fixed keeper is sewn into the strap.
