The Simona Vintage Green Strap

This just showed up on my doorstep from Italy the other day, and I’ve been enjoying it ever since. I’ve been looking for the perfect Olive Green strap for the last year, and this might be the one.

I love the sewn in buckles that come on all of Simona’s straps. This one came with the bent buckle, but you can also get the flat GPF style as well.

Here’s the strap on my PAM 24 submersible. These two look great together, don’t you think?

Next on my list is a Simona black calf with copper accent stitching. It’s time to put in my order, so stay tuned for the photos some time next month!

Simona Straps Sueded Honey Gator on the Panerai 212

I’ve only seen a few of these surface on the pre-owned market in the last 6 months, and when this one came up, I had just the watch to mount it on…so, I jumped on it!  I have to say, I have zero regrets about picking this thing up.

I’ve never really been a fan of the historic flat style buckles…until now. For some reason, the dimensions of this one are just big enough to be noticeable, but small enough not to be obnoxious.

I love the way the 24/24 gator straps look on the 212. They’re rugged because of the lack of taper between the lugs and the buckle, but refined because it’s an alligator strap.

The color and texture on this strap are also fantastic. It was only lightly used when I got it, but it felt like that old, perfectly broken in pair of jeans right out of the box.
