The OEM Panerai Brown Alligator Strap

Today I’m going with the OEM Panerai brown alligator strap on my Panerai 1950 flyback chronograph. It’s a bit different than most of my other vintage leather straps, but I wanted something a little dressier today.

I love the deep, rich brown color of this hide, it looks great next to the black dial of my 212.

The OEM straps can be a little on the stiff side when they are new, but give it a few wears, and it will soften up and be a lot more comfortable.

I’m wearing this strap with an OEM Panerai pre-v style buckle. It dresses the strap down a little bit, and makes the tapered 22mm end of the strap seem a little thicker.

Here’s a couple wrist shots so you can see what it looks like on.

Panerai OEM Black Calf 233 Strap on Panerai 212 Chronograph

I’ve always liked this strap, and since it only comes on the Panerai 233, you don’t really see a lot of these straps out there on the secondhand market.

Some people call this strap the “tunnel” strap, because of the two grooves that run down the length of the strap.

I mounted this strap on my Panerai 1950 flyback chronograph 212. I think the black leather looks great on this particular model.

Here’s the wrist shot…This is one of my favorite OEM straps.

I like this strap because it looks very simimar to the OEM rubber strap, but without the large Panerai written down the sides.
